Izzy is now almost as tall as I am and we are were the same shoe size. She is headed to Middle School next year.
Tori is my little artist and will be in 5th grade next year. Her only request in our new house is an art station in her bedroom.
Crazy Max will be in 2nd grade next year. During breakfast he said, "this is the last day of school ever in this house." Like I needed to be reminded!
As we headed to the bus stop this morning I bit my lip holding back the tears! This is the last time I put my kids on the bus at this stop. We have had the same bus driver since Izzy was in kindergarten. When they say, IT TAKES A VILLAGE TO RAISE A CHILD, I firmly believe that statement is true. Our bus driver, Ms. Bates has safely transported my children for 6 years, counseled the kids through "bus drama", cleaned up puke and called me to discuss issues that needed to be discussed. I so appreciate when she told be me she wished she had a bus full of kids like mine.
This friendly face has seen me in my pajamas, with no makeup and a coffee in-hand.
A huge Thank You to Sandy Bates!
So sweet! Your life in the next few months will be filled with sweet last memories and glorious new first ones! Can't wait to see what God is going to teach you through all of them!
ReplyDeleteGreat "last day" journal and photos. I'm smiling at Max's comment. So glad you have a new bungalow, and it will be fun to watch the new house go up. Bittersweet times--enjoy them all, even though it's a roller coaster ride.
