A Year Of Change!
I started this blog post the beginning of June 2013. Now, the first day of November, I am finally posting these pictures. Just a week after I started this post I ended up at the doctors office to find out I was anemic and had a large fibroid tumor. After spending the entire summer in the recliner, I had a hysterectomy in September. I'm 7 weeks post op and finally getting my strength back. So, here is the post I started so long ago...
As the school year draws to a close, I can't help reflect on this last year. This time last year we were packing up the house and preparing to move into a rental house. I did not anticipate how tough this last year would be both mentally and physically! There were times I didn't want to be "The Mom" and just wanted to crawl under the covers and bail on this 20 year dream to build a house. Over Memorial Day weekend we hosted my family in our new home after our niece's wedding. I teared up as I stood on the patio and laughter spilled out the kitchen window. Yes, in the end it was worth it, we love our beautiful home.
There is still much work to be done and I have been too tired to even blog, but here is what's been happening since we moved in!
This is where it all went down! Hours of planning and reviewing these blue prints in the basement of the rental house. Don't you love the camo wall ? |
This is what happens when you help an interior designer move. Thanks Katy for taking great care of my pictures. |
